How can i apply password to RAR file?

Right click the file you want to zip. Select Add to archive. Go to advance tab. Click Set Password. Enter Password. Click OK button.How can i apply password to RAR file?
* 1. Open WinRAR, choose the folder or file that you want to compress by clicking the ';Add'; option.


* 2. Select the ';Advanced'; tab and choose ';Set Password'; option.


* 3. Once you have finished entering your password, you can choose to encrypt the file name by checking this option.


* 4. When you are done, click ';OK'; and apply the changes by clicking ';OK'; again in the Archive parameters window.How can i apply password to RAR file?
Whenever you open WinRAR to archive a file, go to ';Advanced'; i.e. the 2nd tab. There you will see the option (to be exact, a button) ';Set Password'; and if you press it, another small dialog box will open up asking you to enter the password.





If you select the ';show password'; option, WinRAR will show you what password you are typing and thus, there wont be a need to reenter the password to confirm again.





If you select ';Encrypt file names'; option, then once the password protected .rar file is created, upon double-clicking that file, WinRAR will not show anything inside the archive unless the correct password is entered. If you don't select this option, anyone can see the names of the files %26amp; folders (example - abcd.mp3) inside the archive. Only opening/extracting the files/folders inside the .rar file will require a password to be entered by the user.

1) Let us consider ur creating a new archive


2) Open Winrar in that u will find wizard icon on toolbar . Click on it ,then a small window opens


3) Select a new archive


4) Then select for the files .Give a name for it.


5) Then u will find a option as set a password then click on it


6) You can now set a password for that archive.

1) First save the file into rar file( which u know i guess by right click)?


2) Open the rar file by left click


3) On top of the page open '; File'; n scroll down


4) Select Default password and enter pass word and reneter passwod for verificationm


now close the folder
