Depends upon your citizenship. Secondly its not right time to move to UK or USA, no jobs due to recession. There are 2.4 million people out of job in UK %26amp; pretty much same situation in USA.
I'd suggest you wait until end of 2010 and then consider about applying for any job in these countries.
BTW, its not easy to apply for job in these countries if u are not citizen of these countries (or for UK at EU citizen).
