i use a retractable eyeliner, but it always seems to come off throughout the day. i hate pencils and liquid liner, though. i need a trick to keep it on, especially my bottom lid.How can i get my eyeliner to stay on all day without having it come off or having to re-apply it?

try hip cream liner!!!! I love it last all day!!!!!
You need to make the switch to waterproof! Also, e.l.f's eye primer and liner sealer preps your lids for liner, then seals it for all day wear!
yeah i like using the mechanical eyeliner too :]
what you can do is put black eyeshadow over the eyeliner to help set it or whatever eyeliner color you use
There are several ways you can prevent your eyeliner from smudging or moving about the day.
First before you put any eye makeup on use a eye primer such as Too Faced Shadow Insurance, Urban Decay Primer Potion( Two High end brands) or Lo real Decrease a drug store alternative.
Another way is to after you put your liner on place a same color shadow on top to seal it in you can also do this to your waterline if you are comfortable with doing this. Its not always safe but it can definitely add to the life of your liner.
You can also buy a eyeliner sealer like She- Laq which is made by benefit cosmetics and can seal many things like lip color liner and mascara.
Get the waterproof. But you'll need a special remover to get it off.
Well, try to get the eyeliner all the way in your eye, and it's not hard if you keep one in your purse. If you are at school, then in between classes do a quick make - up check. I do that every period for 2 minutes, then run to class in 3 minutes. lol. Well, if you still don't want to do that, you could get your eye liner tattooed unless you don't want to go that extreme, or get water proof eyeliner by cover girl it lasts a good 6 - 8 hours on me. Hope this was helpful :)

use a sephora brand its really good and its ony 5 bucks!
Use a primer. Urban Decay makes a good one, but there are others out there as well. I use CoverGirls retractable with a primer and never have many issues anymore. (And I wear it heavy.)
